In the first episode of At 6:00pm, we invited Yanqi, a food artist based in HongKong, to share her favourite dish and recipe from her grandma.

 
 

Ingredients
— Portions for 3 —
1 clove of garlic
1 scallion
About 50g of onion
15 pieces of dried scallop
15 pieces of dried oysters
7 pieces of dried shrimps
3 dried mushrooms
70g of pork
A quarter of cabbage
1.5 cup of rice
Soy sauce
Sesame oil

Step 1.Soak dried scallops, oysters, shrimps and mushrooms in warm water for 2 hours;

Step 2.
Chop the cabbage, slice the pork and the fully softened mushrooms;

Step 3.
Pick the scallop and oysters into small pieces;

Step 4.
Drain the water (the one that's used to soak the dried ingredients) into a bowl;

Step 5.
Fry the chopped onions and garlic with oil until they become soft and then add the rest of the ingredients.

Step 6.
Add rice and the previous drained water to the rice cooker. For the water, if it was 1.5cup of rice, the water is poured till the measurement of 1.5 (in the rice cooker). Then add soy sauce and sesame oil. Mix everything.

Step 7.
Cook the rice.

Serve with chopped scallion and/or chilli sauce.
